Portraits at white rock lake

Katie and Shawn's White Rock Lake engagement session

Check out my latest engagement portrait session at White Rock Lake!  Katie and Shawn are just the cutest couple and we had so much fun hanging out with their doggies at the lake for this stunning portrait session.

I am so excited to photograph their wedding in November!  As a wedding photographer, I offer an engagement session to all of my wedding photography clients so that we have a chance to work together before the wedding day.  It helps me to get a feel for what poses work best for them, as well as giving the couple an opportunity to get accustomed to my posing style.  The best part is that we get to know each other a little better and it makes things go much smoother on the wedding day when you have had a chance to work together before.

Take a look at this awesome session and tell me what you think in the comments!

Ross and Kathleen maternity portraits at White Rock Lake

I had the pleasure of photographing Ross and Kathleen's wedding a couple of years ago, so I was thrilled when they contacted me to photograph their maternity portrait session and commemorate the birth of their first child!  Getting to see clients celebrate the milestones that make up their family's personal journey is what I love most about my job!  I couldn't be happier with how lovely this session turned out!  What do you think of this gorgeous couple?  Leave your thoughts in the comments below...

Maggie and Omar at White Rock lake

I had the pleasure of photographing Maggie and Omar's wedding last year in Dallas.  They called me just before the holidays to do a portrait session of them to use in a holiday card, and also to have some updated portraits of them as a married couple with their sweet pups!  I am always happy when I get to work with wedding clients after the wedding and this session was no exception.  White Rock Lake is a great location for portraits.  I am always finding new spots there to use in sessions.  This fall, my favorite spot was an over-grown field that was the perfect backdrop to any type of portrait session.  Unfortunately, shortly after this session the field was mowed, which means it will likely be next fall before the grass is tall and pretty again.  I am so glad I got to use it while it lasted, but my heart broke when I realized that it had been chopped down.  However, I did manage to capture this great field several times last fall and I will definitely be keeping an eye on it to grow back!  Also, these doggies were the sweetest pups and such great little posers!  I always encourage people to include their dogs in their family portraits.  These two pups made this session so fun!
